Worship is a vital part of our life together. Worship is the opportunity to know, to feel, and to experience the resurrected Christ in the midst of the gathered community. It is a breaking into the Shekinah of God or better yet, being invaded by the Shekinah of God. Shekinah means the glory of God or the radiance of God dwelling in the midst of His people. It emphasizes the immediate Presence of God as opposed to a God who is abstract or aloof. We believe that worship is much more that singing songs with religious content, we believe the experience of worship occurs when the spirit of God touches our human spirit and we find ourselves changed. There is the expectation that when we gather for celebration and in our Churches in the House, we will experience the resurrected Christ in his glory and power. Through the years we have become fully persuaded that regardless of our circumstances, God is worthy of worship all the time.
At this point we have two worship teams that facilitate the celebration process. The teams are made up of vocalists and musicans and gather for practice each Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Additionally, we are beginning to put together some teams that can faciliate the worship experience in each Church in the House. Rhonda Lettow is worship team leader. If you are interested in getting involved with the worship team, please contact us.
